Today we drove to the westpoint of Curacao. We saw the caves and rocks at Boka Tabla. It was a long drive and we had to walk a long way with the burning sun, but it was definitely worth it. The views where breath taking.
We actually went inside one of the caves with the water coming right at us and we hunted iguanas to get the perfect picture, (apart from Rachel tho… She actually wanted to catch one of them), i didn’t really asked her why tho maybe to cuddle?
Anyway we also climbed to the top of the rockes and of course I almost tripped and ended up scratching my leg. The funny part of it is tho, that everyone yelled at me to watch the step after I scratched my leg…
Ohw, as for the food tho. There was this place right, and everyone was starving. So Ayrton pulls up at this restaurant and this little voice in my head told me ‘nah, Jody this is not gon’ be good’. So as we get out of the car Ayrton suggested to just have a drink here and go for food somewhere else. As we sit down I said that we should leave the food an stick to the plan. But for some reason nobody heard my warning and we ordered food anyway. Well guess how that turned out… Rachel found a hair in her food, they gave us rice instead of fries because they where out of patatos or something like that (they didn’t tell us this when we ordered). Then the waiter (who was really nice btw) comes in to bring us the last fries they had, but it was just chunks of fried patatos. Note, when I say ‘fried’ I don’t mean they where done. And then there was the fish… It was well flavored but it wasn’t done, it was supposed to be fried fish filet, not dipped in hot oil for a second fish filet…
I do have to say tho, the staff was really nice and the punch they served us was good and refreshing. My uncle his food tasted really good as well. But my family learned their lesson, next time when I tell them not to eat at a restaurant, we don’t eat at that restaurant!
Mood: Thank God for my mom her cooking skills. She made us kidney beans with chicken and rice when we got home.
